What is CICADAMATA?

CICADAMATA (officially stylized CICADAMATA") is a fast-paced first-person platformer and movement shooter by solo studio flowergarden, released on Steam on August 21, 2026. You play a CICADA deployed into CASCADE: hop, skip, dash and stomp through 31 leaderboard levels — the intro plus 18 campaign stages across six spheres, 3 bonus stages and 9 Demo Disc protos — chasing score, DMND clearance ranks and speedrun times. Is it spelled CICADAMATA, Cicada Mata or Cicadamataq?

One word: CICADAMATA, and the official name ends with a quotation mark (CICADAMATA"). "Cicada mata", "cicadamataq", "cicdamata" and "cicadamada" are common misspellings of the same game. It has nothing to do with real cicadas or cicada emergence years.

Is CICADAMATA on PS5 or consoles?

No. As of August 2026 CICADAMATA is Windows PC only, on Steam. It ships with full controller support (DualShock and DualSense are both listed on the store page), but no console version has been announced.
